The serial in the bar above advances only when something gates objectively true — not when the copy gets bolder. Each entry includes a Known scope line naming what is explicitly not shipped yet.

The governance substrate ships: draft → gate → ship → roll back, audited — plus the ceo cloud client.

Shipped

  • The governance loop: draft, gate, ship, and rollback any change a human or agent makes.
  • An immutable audit trail — every change carries intent binding, posture, and an evidence chain ("authorized by X at TIME").
  • The ceo command line — the local client to the hub. Install via install.build.ceo.
  • A single curated sample build renders on the Recording Spine with a real evidence chain.

  • Renamed cli.ceo → build.ceo. The ceo command and your config are unchanged. Old *.cli.ceo URLs redirect.
  • Retired the tagline "the command line for software operations." The brand now points at the object — how software gets built — not the interface.

Known scope (not shipped yet)

  • Watching your own builds replay as episodes — roadmap (v0.2). The Archive surface today shows a curated sample, labeled as such.
  • Team DNA cloud sync — roadmap (v0.2).
  • Build provenance as a product, and any public "watch how anything was built" layer — roadmap (v0.3).

Gate condition: a visitor can run ceo, have their runs ingested, and watch them replay as episodes — the Archivist narrative pipeline produces a watchable episode from a real user run. No copy advances to "watch your builds" until then.

Gate condition: build provenance (verifiable who/what/when/authority) is real AND any public repo can be turned into a watchable title. No "Netflix"/public claim ships before this.
